Press Release
RFID consortium with nine modules for digitalization in logistics and production
Friedberg, September 18, 2024 – Competitive pressure, high customer expectations and staff shortages are forcing manufacturing and retail companies to increase the level of automation in their processes.
Factors such as same-day delivery, zero-error tolerance on the part of customers and high cost pressure demand fully digitized processes.
RFID Consortium has developed nine modules for the most important processes in intralogistics and production.
They cover incoming & outgoing goods, storage, picking, delivery, quality assurance, monitoring & maintenance, replenishment control and track & trace.
The aim of these RF KonSys modules is to achieve error-free, automated and faster processes.
What they all have in common is RFID-based identification of goods, raw materials or load carriers, which enables unique identification without visual contact.
All modules aim to reduce operating costs through improved operational efficiency, but also to relieve the burden on personnel.
Employees are guided through processes with digital support, work in a route-optimized manner and gain back time for their actual tasks.
Great need for accurate real-time inventories
The traceability of articles solves one of the main issues for many companies: Where are which items currently located?
100% stock transparency is the basis for delivery capability and punctuality.
It does not matter whether it is an intralogistics delivery for your own production or within a supply chain.
The data is available in real time.
Standardized digitization with individuality
RFID Konsortium starts projects in an advisory capacity and with a proof-of-concept, a technical feasibility analysis including an ROI analysis.
With a phase-oriented and agile project methodology, only the RF KonSys modules that are required are used.
For more extensive digitalization, all process modules can be combined with each other and can always be integrated into the company’s ERP, WMS and other systems.
System integration is largely standardized through the modules, which consist of software and hardware components, but always allows individual adaptation to industry-specific requirements.
Companies can obtain the modules, the implementation and the necessary RFID hardware from well-known manufacturers from the system integrator RFID Konsortium.
Managing Director Tino Steickert explains the launch of the nine modules as follows: “Our customers come from cruise tourism, the manufacturing industry and the service sector. We have eliminated cost-intensive errors for every customer. Experience from these sectors has been incorporated into the development of our modules.”
