The RFID Consortium, a full-service solution provider for auto-ID and digitisation projects, is expanding its partner network with n:con and soffico. In logistics and production, RFID projects generate a wide variety of data that must be passed on to higher-level systems in a structured manner. The aim of the partnership with n:con is to offer companies along the value chain genuine added value through the seamless integration of auto-ID technologies into SAP processes. To this end, n:con and the RFID Consortium are combining their in-depth understanding of RFID and auto-ID applications with many years of SAP integration expertise. Soffico also expands the RFID Consortium’s portfolio of expertise to include the secure integration and provision of generated data for higher-level systems such as MES, ERP or cloud platforms. Users benefit from this cooperation through access to consistent, reliable and immediately usable data. The strategic cooperation with both partners makes it possible to take individual project requirements into account and implement them right from the start. As part of
the development partnership with AI expert BrAIniacs, the RF KonSys AI Gate was created in 2025 – the first cooperation in the field of software. In the hardware environment, the RFID Consortium has been working for many years with renowned manufacturers such as Impinj, Kathrein Solutions, Zebra and many others.

RFID, but simple: reducing complexity

System landscapes have generally developed over decades, are often proprietary, outdated and characterised by very different levels of digitisation. Companies that need to implement track & trace, the digital product passport or a sustainable circular economy within a very short time are therefore faced with a complex initial scenario. The aim is to implement RFID and digitalisation projects individually and within budget with small teams. “In
customer projects, we are repeatedly asked for services that are not part of our core business. This was the motivation to work with partners who complement us in terms of content – just as the customer needs. Together with soffico and n:con, we achieve results that would not be possible on our own,” says Tino Steickert, Managing Director of the RFID Consortium, explaining the expansion of the partner network.

Broad RFID hardware ecosystem

As a system integrator, the RFID Consortium recommends manufacturer-independent RFID hardware such as MDE devices or RFID readers that prove to be best suited for the respective project in the proof-of-concept phase. The focus here is on protecting the investment in existing RFID infrastructures. The list of hardware partners is correspondingly extensive: Zebra, Kathrein, Impinj, Sick, Chainway, BT AutoID, Datalogic, Honeywell, Adlink, Cisper, Jarltech, BlueStar, Flexiray, Inotec, IdentyTAg, Tageos and others provide a broad portfolio of RFID transponders and readers. Support, maintenance and training are also part of the offering.

About RFID Konsortium

The system integrator from Friedberg in Hesse has been developing and implementing Auto-ID solutions for medium-sized and large customers in Germany and abroad since 2008. To date, its references include over 100 companies from various industries. With the nine RF KonSys modules, RFID Konsortium offers freely combinable building blocks for optimizing intralogistics processes such as track & trace, incoming/outgoing goods, storage, inventory, picking, delivery, quality assurance, maintenance & servicing and replenishment control. The aim is to map processes error-free, at a reasonable cost and with a fast return on investment (ROI). Stationary, mobile and AI gate solutions are added to the portfolio with outgoing goods gate solutions. Customers decide to use RFID in order to digitize processes and thus operate more efficiently and competitively on the market. RFID Konsortium provides a holistic approach from a single source: from process consulting to a six-phase project implementation (“RF KonSys strategy”) and connection to internal IT systems. Depending on the customer scenario, high-quality readers, transponders, printers and mobile devices from well-known manufacturers are used for the hardware.
